Qualification of welding technology (WPQR)
Comprehensive support in the qualification process of welding and surfacing technologies according to the EN ISO 15614 series of standards, from the selection of welding consumables, selection of welding methods, process parameters, through participation in the preparation of test joints, necessary destructive and non-destructive tests, contact with a selected notified body ending with obtaining the WPQR protocol.
Verification and examination of welders and welding equipment operators
Exam / verification of welding qualifications of welders (according to the EN ISO 9606 series), welding equipment operators (according to the EN ISO 14732 standard) as well as brazers and brazing equipment operators (according to the EN ISO 13585 standard), is carried out at a location agreed with the Client. Qualified personnel (IWE, IWI-C, NDT) are present during preparation of the examination joints, test joints are subjected to destructive and non-destructive tests preapared by the standards, after which an exam certificate issued by the selected inspection body (TÜV Rheinland, TÜV SÜD, TÜV NORD, Institute of Welding) is issued.
Non-destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing (DT) of welded joints
They are carried out during production (in order to verify the correctness of the manufacturing process - the repair of detected non-compliances is the cheapest at this stage) and after its completion, on finished products (to confirm the product's compliance with the requirements). The choice of the testing method depends on several factors (if the specific testing method is not imposed in advance) such as: the type and location of the expected incompatibilities, the type of material from which the welded joint is made, the welding method used, the type of joint, its surface condition and size, etc. The method is also selected in terms of the required level of quality of the welded joint.
Preparation of the plant for implementation and certification confirming compliance with the requirements of the standards EN ISO 3834, EN 1090
The first step is to conduct an internal audit to develop a list of recommendations necessary for implementation at the Plant, before starting the process of certification for compliance with the above standards. After developing all the necessary procedures and instructions, training the Client's personnel and adapting the plant to the certification audit, together with the Client we choose the certification body. We participate in the certification process from the very beginning until we receive a certificate confirming compliance with the requirements of the standard.
Review and verification of project and tender documentation
Analysis of the completeness and usefulness of the tender / project documentation, feasibility analysis, cost calculation.
Welding and quality supervision and inspection
Continuous welding supervision, necessary to meet the requirements of the EN ISO 3834 series "Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials" and EN ISO 14731 "Welding coordination — Tasks and responsibilities", exercised over a company without its own full-time welding supervision staff with the required competences ( IWE, IWI, NDT tests) - the function of the main welding engineer.
Audits of subcontractors
Comprehensive control (production staff, supervision staff - competences, number of employees; machinery park - quantity, condition and possibilities of production, control and measuring instrumentation; warehouses of basic and additional materials - supervision; etc.) preparation of potential or current subcontractors for the implementation of entrusted to them tasks according to Customer requirements, applicable standards and regulations, both in terms of quality and performance.
Quality control of products before, during and after the manufacturing process
Inspection activities carried out before the start of welding production are aimed at confirming the ability to meet the requirements of standards, regulations, contract or Customer specification. The control carried out during the process of manufacturing structures or welded products is aimed at ensuring that the required technological regime is respected (supervision of basic materials, welding consumables, implementation of the welding process in accordance with approved WPS welding technological instructions, implementation of the assumptions of the control and testing plan , making welded joints in accordance with the competence of welders, keeping records necessary for final acceptance, etc.). The final control is to finally confirm the compliance of the product with the documentation and the completeness of the quality documents (attestations, certificates, test results, protocols, etc.).
Final acceptance of welded structures in accordance with the requirements of standards / regulations and Customer specifications, verification of as-built documentation,
Technical consulting in the field of welding,
Selection of welding consumables and welding methods, calculation of welding consumables consumption, process optimization
